A trespasser caused an early-morning disruption on Rapid KL's Shah Alam Line after entering the track area at Jalan Meru Station, the operator said.

TRESPASSER DETAINED BY AUXILIARY POLICE

The person was detected at about 6.15am. Station staff and auxiliary police responded, detained the suspect and later handed the individual to police from Bandar Baru Klang for further investigation.

Train services between Jalan Meru and Jambatan Kota were suspended for about 30 minutes while personnel secured the area and ensured the line was safe to operate. Rapid KL said services resumed after the checks were completed.

The operator warned that entering railway tracks or other restricted areas is dangerous and can put passengers, staff and the trespasser at risk. Such incidents can also force operators to halt services while safety inspections are carried out.

WHAT IT MEANS FOR COMMUTERS

Passengers using the Shah Alam Line should allow extra travel time when unexpected safety incidents occur and follow official Rapid KL updates for service changes. Alternative transport may be required during temporary suspensions.

Members of the public should never enter rail tracks, stations' restricted zones or operational areas. Anyone who sees a person in a prohibited area should alert station staff or police immediately rather than attempting to intervene.
