Kiriwong Village Nakhon Si Thammarat Guest Houses and Hotels

Featured Replies

Can anyone recommend any hotels or guesthouses within the village or walking distance from it. What best months days to avoid any crowds.

Forgot to mention under 500 baht a night.

500 THB, good luck with that one. Kiriwong is too popular with local tourist to offer rates that low. Maybe during the week, and not sure I'd want to stay in anything 500 or less, even for 1 night.

Definitely avoid weekends. We were just there, one night, and I wouldn't recommend that place, overpriced @ 1200, but pet friendly & brekkie included, right on river. Older place and not well maintained.

Walking distance ??? How do you plan on getting there, self driving ?

The 'village', and that's a stretch, isn't that far from a main road, not walkable to, or from NST itself, but you'll need your own transport.

500 THB accommadations aren't realistic in TH any more, and a rare find if you do come across. In big metros maybe, but do you really want to stay at such a place.

I will be taking a min van there likely on a Tuesday and considering a day trip from Nakhon Si Thammarat to check it out first. As far as less than 500 baht a night for air-con can think of at least a dozen places under 400 baht and very nice rooms cheapest was 350 with frig everything throughout Thailand.

I'm pretty sure we have different opinions of what 'very nice' means. Not saying a decent room can't be found for less the 500, but location location location, along with, most that low, don't have parking, which is a requirement for us.

I need a balcony, veranda, not 4 walls, with just maybe a small window. As stated, parking a must. So 500 baht room is rare. Let alone pet friendly. Plenty on the main roads between Nakhon Nowhere, but not where I want to be, stay.

Actually use one as a pitstop on the way home from our southern loops, 500 w/brekkie, and a comfy bungalow. But good only for a pitstop.

Whilst on this subject has anyone any recommendations for a stay in Amnat Charoen ?

Looking for a good clean hotel with kettle, fridge, good WiFi, Quiet room possible with bathtub and shower option, but shower only is ok

Price between 1,000 to 2,000 baht per night or less but has to be good standard.

My thanks to all responders

Udon and CM have 400 baht rooms but the south is more expensive
