The Arms Embargo Now (AEN) coalition has spent the past few weeks tracking our newest target, Elbit systems. Elbit is Israel's largest weapons manufacturer and is the backbone of its military industrial complex. In Canada it represents a significant part of our military ties to Israel, including contracts with local suppliers and even public sector pensions.

Elbit is not a shift in our demand for an arms embargo, it is us enforcing that demand from the bottom up. By taking on Elbit and targeting its ties in Canada we work to enforce an arms embargo through our communities. Our goal is simple, continue targeting Elbit through its investors, subsidiaries and suppliers until we have permanently removed it from our country.

Why are you promoting and supporting foreign political interference in Canada? Why are you so arrogant to assume that Canadians need radical left wing agitatorsand saboteurs from the USA telling them what to do? Do you really think Canadians want to to take instruction from a bunch of left wing bullies and terrorist enablers?

Action Network, a 501(c)(4) nonprofit organization, trains and educates progressives on how to use technology to organize for change. Since launching in 2012, Action Network tools have helped the Women’s March mobilize huge rallies across the globe, helped the DNC raised millions for candidates and organizations, and much more.

The DNC candidates backed are no friends of Canadian workers or industries and are opposed to Canada's economic diversification and investments in self defence and resource development.

It gets worse. Just Peace Advocates, despite its name is not much of a peace advocacy group. It is linked to radical anti Israel groups, is rooted in the USA and does not qualify as a charity. It's Canadian company listing satisfies legal requirements. Its principal directors are;

- Jonathan Kuttab is technically US based, although he is a resident of East Jerusalem in Israel. His law firm represents local plaintiffs in their Israeli cases. He is on the record as stating that he does not believe that Israel has a right to exist nor defend itself.

-Ali Mallah is involved in organizing and supporting events and rallies rallies that support violent agendas such as “DAY of RAGE ”, and Al Quds Day

The group's funding is not publicly declared and its links to certain Middle eastern groups is concealed are not transparent.

It has actively campaigned against canada's investment in new air defense capability.

Why should any Canadian listen to foreign based troublemakers who are pushing their foreign political agendas and who are not supportive of Canadian economic sovereignty? It's rather disgusting that a holder of a Canadian passport of convenience is promoting foreign political groups. It's akin to treason and should be treated accordingly.

Well, for one thing I'm Canadian though we get Trumpnews shoved in our craw every day. Elbit is a foreign arms manufacturer. Yes, I have an axe to gring but, really, no foreign arms manufacturer should be allowed in Canada. And I'd be happy to see Canada stop making its own.

I keep unsubscribing from Action Network. I don't think online petitions mean much. And I'm not going to sign for many of their progressive causes such as saving Medicaid, Social Security aso. And Dem or Rep candidates mean dogsh*t to me. Others can do that.

Direct representation or putting your body and your freedom on the line in nonviolent civil disobedience is what works for change.

I don't particularly care if the Canadian Action Network is US-based or has satellite branches in other countries. So what. You seem to be saying their CEO is an anti-Zionist, like millions of other Jews. Good on him, #MeToo. If you call the violence Jews have been doing in Palestine since 1909 "defending itself", you're seriously deluded.

Are you saying that Ali Mallah's project funding is not transparent or Action Network's? "Days of Rage" was started by SDS in the 60s; didn't go well with Chicago's police, maybe the model for ICE thugs.

So your objection to these two events? Did they become violent or do you have some other reason?

When you say "middle eastern groups", I think you're implying terrorists. If so, this is the first time I've seen terrorists funding Canadian projects. I thought it was the other way around.

I believe there are Jewish peace groups in Canada which have been accused of the same to no result. In order to maintain status as a "charity" in Canada, a group cannot send or receive money from abroad.

Ah, here's a petition I have signed and also written to our Minister of Defence. No subs, no jets. Canada is a peacemaker not a warmonger.

Surely you must know Canadian "economic sovereignty" is so enmeshed in the US that it would be impossible to separate the two. Probably why our dollar is worth 75¢!

I'm not sure that living in a country for nearly 30 years could be called a passport of "convenience". In Canada, we welcome dissent and criticism to make our country healthier, resisting authoritarism and oppression.

Canadians also welcome the opinions of "foreign troublemakers". They have just as much right to speak out as anyone.
