- Long Range RWD: Electric motor drives rear wheels with 244 horsepower, LFP battery with a capacity of 71.2 kWh, with a maximum range of 570 km (NEDC), and a top speed of 0-100 km/h in 6.6 seconds

It looks like a very nice car, but let’s wait until we know a bit more—especially whether it will come with the Turing chip, and if so, how many.

The main problem is to get spare parts in case of an accident. Could take many weeks. So, if you don't mind to drive a dented car for many weeks....Or botched after local repair....🤡

You really need to wait and see the Thai version. I looked at several cars Online and loved a couple, but the Thai version didn’t have some of the features that I really liked.

Plus I didn’t want to buy until they had a showroom and service center up and running.

for most models coming out of china, the right-hand-drive versions (for asia, australia, and new zealand) usually get a stripped-down package instead of the latest version available in china. i seriously doubt that's going to change anytime soon ...

i still went with the byd sealion 7 awd, even though the chinese and even the european versions came with better equipment, newer software, bigger battery and faster charging.

btw, after around 18 months, i'm still very happy with my sl7 overall ...

Yet another nice car to come out of China--so many to choose from these days. When my spouse and I were in Bangkok recently we took a look at the new Lepas L6 SUV model. About 800,000 baht, 400 km plus electric driving range, very nice interior, power everything, comfortable seats, nice leg room in the back, good sound system, moon roof--even a cooling box for beverages. A lot of car for the money. Non-Chinese car makers really need to get it in gear--so much of their product looks so dated--mainly because it is--and low-tech.

Not to be negative but how many Chinese products have you bought that were of any quality, myself, not too many. I'm sure eventually they'll come around but for now, a hard pass for me on any Chinese products, especially expensive vehicles.

You would probably be surprised how many high quality products come from China these days. China no longer only manufactures cheap goods.

Examples include DJI drones, Huawei networking equipment, Lenovo ThinkPads, Anker electronics, Roborock robot vacuums, and high end smartphones from Xiaomi, Oppo, and Vivo.

The same is happening with cars. Brands like BYD, Zeekr, NIO, Xpeng, and Li Auto are producing premium EVs. Several of them have hired engineers and designers from BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Volvo, Porsche, and Ferrari. Geely owns Volvo and Lotus, has a major stake in Mercedes-Benz, and works closely with Renault. Many European brands also manufacture a significant share of their own vehicles and components in China.

Apple is another example. Most iPhones, iPads, AirPods, Macs, and other Apple products have been manufactured or assembled in China for years. Their quality isn’t determined by the country of manufacture, but by Apple’s design, engineering, quality control, and supplier standards.

Today, “Made in China” can mean anything from a cheap no name product to some of the highest quality consumer electronics in the world.
