I actually was thinking about joining one of the witness groups in the West Bank. Not sure Israel would let a foreigner get a visa with that intention. Of course, I would have no compunction lying to such a theocracy. But I'm getting kind of old for travel. Better to leave it to the young and fit. Not afraid of violence. Nonviolence always wins.

Nope, they don't. I have spoken out and written and signed petitions for the Uighurs, Falun Gong, Tibetans, Tutsis, Darfur and Jews of Iran. I won't speak out on outright wars. Of course, I would prefer Ukraine to "win" but the conflict will go on if anyone thinks those issues will be solved by killing.

In elementary school, I was taught to salute the flag with my right hand. Hm.

I am both Canadian and American. I see there is visa-free travel for 90 days as a tourist. I'm old for travel but it would be an honourable thing to do.
