The United ⁠States on Thursday said it could maintain a naval blockade of Iran indefinitely and would ramp up economic pressure on Tehran as ceasefire talks have stalled.

Iran can also stop all trade through the strait and is not totally dependant upon it like some others in the region.

There is also the small problem of US sailors fighting each other and jumping off the aircraft carriers stationed at a 'safe distance' away from Iran

for months on end with no shore leave

Those sailors on the aircraft carriers in the area are going to be pleased to hear this !,

could lead to a modern day mutiny , they are short of food,conditions aboard are

horrible ,some are even jumping overboard , maybe the secretary of War ,needs

to go and check on these sailors ...
