Must have just started today. Went to four of their headline stories and all of them were behind a paywall. No way the Bangkok Post is worth paying for. Stopped looking after that and will not go back.

I just went to their site to check it out and I got this:

Working ok for me as long as you click the Top right hand cross "suggesting" their subscription.

Accessed from Thailand with no VPN etc.

I clicked on three headline stories: 1) the gold rally 2) the Elbridge Colby story and 3) the regulatory agency article. All three blocked.

I haven't looked at their website for a few weeks but I did get an email from them today about imminent pay walking, and I quote, "If you’d like to continue reading without limits, our Early Bird offer gives you your first month for THB 99, followed by THB 299 per month thereafter."

I think it is safe to assume that this change will result in a huge improvement on the quality and content of BP reader's comments.

Same here. They'll probably fix that in the coming days

Yes you get in but check again, many of the articles are now for "subscribers only. For example.....

It will fold soon, nobody is going to pay, not at all worth it for what is reported.

I tried using "removepaywall" and only got a picture of the paywall.

Copy the BK post link of the specific article you want to read, open remove paywall and past the link into it!

Most free readers do not even know that the paid and complete version is much larger with many more articles and reports which never show up at the website. In my opinion it is worth paying for. The full version is however much more expensive, official price of digital complete version is Baht 4,500 Baht per year.

Did that. Something has happened with that site recently. A lot of the things I read with paywalls are not working

Sixteen years ago, I used to have the paper itself delivered to my house. But after the big flood of 2011, the delivery seemed to disappear.

It worked one minute before my previous post!

And is still working now as I have just retried it.

PS; I would show you a screen shot but I do not think that AN would allow it!

Make sure you are not using a VPN!

Still not working for me. Nothing on option 1 or 4. Options 2 and 3 just give me a picture of the article with the paywall below it.

What four options?

If you copy the newspaper link, open "skip the paywall" then the only option is to paste the link.

I believe we are getting into too much detail regarding paywalls etc that will NOT sit well with the AN admin!!!

No paywall here, can access everything.

I was subscriber of the printed version for maybe 20 years or so and switched to digital after that. One of the first things in the morning is to read the Bangkok Post with a large fresh brewed coffee in hand.
