Why Are We Doing Nothing to stop Ethnic Cleansing?

I think it would only be extremist religious Israelis who would say it is legal, under som law from God.

I wonder what the Scots would think about such a view, as it might pertain to the UK?

Get rid of Hamas and it will stop. If Israel wanted to remove the whole of Palestine they could but they don't, so stop this stupidity of referring to a genocide, it isnt.

  • Same reason we are doing nothing about the invasion of pink giraffes from Mars. It isn't happening.

  • Wait a minute, do you condone this settler violence, are you seriously saying that there are not over 790,000 Israelis living in illegal settlements in the West Bank? Are you seriously saying the BBC

Please explain why you think the cleansing of the West Bank has anything to do with Hamas.

Did you know Hamas agreed to disarm on July 31 as part of a US prac we plan? Of course Israel rejected it.

Why didn't Hamas disarm ?

Hamas could still disarm whether Israel agreed to it or not .

You arent telling the whole truth, are you

It's frankly bizarre that some here are saying these settlers are doing nothing wrong.

UN Special Rapporteur Albanese warns that Israel is ‘using settlers to advance ethnic cleansing’ in the West Bank.

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) at one of their meetings had a map of the Middle East

and on that map it showed Israel as the only country ,no Palestine,no Gaza only Israel .

and a couple of weeks ago USAFRICOM,also had a map at their meeting ,where several

African countries were not where they actually are , makes you wonder who is in charge

if they cannot get the small things right.

Pretty close. In 1947 the UN created Israel. Immediately the Arab countries declared war on them. The Israelis fought basically to a draw. Then again in 1967 they tried again. This time Israel kicked ass and gained a lot of new territory. Once more in 1973. Israel now occupies land that was lost by other countries in wars THEY started; all because the Arabs had a hard on for the newcomers. Is it fair? Maybe not, but that's why you don't start wars just because you're butt hurt about issues you can't control.

In October 2023, HAMAS, the government of Gaza, attacked unarmed Jewish teenagers and civilian settlements and butchered hundreds upon hundreds of people...taking many hostage. The damage in Gaza is a result of the stubborn refusal of HAMAS to return the hostages and continue to attack Israel; self-inflicted damage, as I see it. Halfway measures don't work against religious zealots, they simply use the time to rebuild and refit.

Then too, I'll mention that there is currently a coalition of middle eastern nations against Iran, which I suppose you could say is led by the US, but didn't take shape until well after the current hostilities began. Lastly, I'll just throw out that, although highly dependent upon mid-east oil, western European nations are nowhere to be found in this conflict.

Israel was from the start not satisfied with land they got and they got more but were still not satisfied. That resulted in several wars, just to conquer more land from the Palestinian habitants. That was the war 1948 In the wars of 1956 and 1967 even more land was occupied. No wonder that the Arabic stated like Jordan, Syria, Egypt were involved in the conflict. Israel did not accept and still doesn't accept that they are the ones that want to expand their territory. Even on the Westbank they are invading and although many times the UN mandated that they should stay away , they don't care... I think everybody will fight for their land, but to claim that all organizations are terrorist and therefor you can destroy everything and kill everyone is far too much. Negotiations are always doomed to fail as Israel only accepts their benefits and will never give up a cm land . Their intention is very clear. Clean the whole land of all the original habitants. Not an inch they can have and when finished they will expand further, as they think they are chosen.

The claim that its legal stems from the previous rulers, Jordan relinquished all claims to the land .

The previous owners said they didn't want the land anymore , Palestinians didn't want the land either , so, its free to take .

I am quite sure that everyone is aware that what you wrote is untrue .

Its common knowledge that it was the Palestinians who rejected the 1948 borders and it was Israel that accepted them.

What you stated is untrue

I suggest you watch this. The US is being kicked out of the middle East and have lost the war.

It looks bad for the US, folks. They're really up against it now, with their 2: that's TWO fleets and overwhelming air power pitted against the valiant IRGC forces heroically defending the Reic... sorry, Islamic Republic, against the foreign hordes amassed against it... I'm channeling club foot Joseph G.

I quit listening to this guy's anti-American rhetoric (I suspect he suffers from <removed>) when he incessantly repeated that neither Trump nor Zelenzky stood a chance against Putin's much larger forces; and look where we are today.

I could be mistaken, but as I understand it, Iraq wants to align with the other gulf states against Iranian influence, and that will be easier to sell if foreign (US) forces are not on their domestic turf.

They only make up 0.2% of the global population. That number expires every 10 days.

Not enough to be missed and would be better for humanity? 🙂

At least you're honest about your antisemitism, Fudge.

Which is more than can be said of the creator of the thread.

Okay...help me out here. Who started the war in 1948, 1967, 1973? Who defeated who? What usually happens when somebody loses a war? I agree that the settlers are pretty heavy handed and there should be some protections for the "native Palestinians" regarding their property etc., but that's often the case with the losers in a conflict. See my post above. Poor decisions have lasting consequences.

Hey, thanks for bringing up the Suez Crisis of 1956!! It's precedent for Trump's open navigation policy for the Hormuz Straight.

So, you would be happy if Jews bought the land ?

If Jews paid money for the land in Judea, you would have no qualms about them living in the land ?

Yes, of course Jews can buy land anywhere they want, but they can't then say, this land that I bought is now part of another Country I prefer to live in, and abide by their laws and not the State the land legally is part of.

Heavy handed lol.

Even the bigoted United States ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee, has condemned settlers who are holding three families in the occupied West Bank village of Qusra, near Nablus, under siege, as “Israeli terrorists”.

Yet pro Israeli posters here refuse to condemn it, I wonder why. Could it be their "Israel can do no wrong brainwashing" is seeing the light?

Well in 1967, contrary to popular belief, Israel attacked Egypt First, and if they hadn't things could have been very different.

If Truman had not immediately backed the formation of the State of Israel in 1948 and there had been better negotiations in the beginning who knows what could have been achieved.

Most of the problems in the Middle East is due to the British and the Americans trying to rule the roost and controlling the commodity of oil, nothing more and nothing less.

The Israeli Jews better find somewhere relatively soon.

Israel won't make it to its 100th birthday.

They better not miss that last plane out, you know how they've been to their neighbors . 🙂

Some are. International judgments can vary across nations and even people on this thread, and not everyone agrees on outcomes. There are institutions such as ICC, ICJ, UN etc who aim for fairness, but their decisions often reflect complex political and legal realities that others will not agree with. While they provide a framework for accountability, true resolution usually requires dialogue, diplomacy, and time, sometimes a long long time.
