Britain might want to focus more on focus their own backdoor. Russia doesn't approve of the info UK provided to Ukraine about a missile system. They withdrew their ambassador to the UK back to Russia because of this missile blueprints sharing.

With respect, why focus on our own backdoor? We have sufficient naval power, including our NATO allies, to counter any aggression from Russia.

Both HMS Tamar and HMS Spey represent the UKs commitment to our persistent presence in the Indio Pacific. Tamar has spent the last 5 years forward deployed in the Indio-Pacific region supporting regional partners with anti-smuggling, fishery protection, board patrol, humanitarian aid and counter terrorism operations. They would be able to assist in dealing with any aggression from Russia or North Korea in the Sea of Japan, for example.

Maybe I read real news, current and up to date. I didn't pull that out of a hat, or some social media site, it's not my info, I just summed up what I read yesterday. I believe a lil boat docking in SE Asia is good, but UK and most all of EU geo area is most important.

But, the boat's port visit probably built good relations with Cambodia. 555
