Children explore Malaysian identity ahead of National Day

A storytelling session in Iskandar Puteri brought children together to explore what makes them Malaysian ahead of National Day celebrations.

The event was held at a cafe in the Tunku Mahkota Ismail Youth Centre, where participants heard a session led by storyteller Alfidah Said, known as Fifie.

Stories, songs and questions

Alfidah used animated expressions, songs and questions as she brought the story to life for the children. The gathering focused on identity and the different ways young Malaysians see themselves and their country.

The session formed part of the Malaysia In You initiative and took place in the lead-up to National Day. It also highlighted the role of local authors and community activities in helping children engage with shared stories and experiences.
