When did I say I’m at war?

I just reply back to the insane posts by leftists.

This forum is for everyone. IAW forum guidelines.

It’s not exclusive to leftists only. As much as you would love it to be.

Oh dear, another lie from 3 card monte.

I’ll make it simple: yours was the first comment so you don’t “just reply to”.

You’re the first out of the trap spewing your far right drivel.

Hardly “replying to” eh?

The commission holds the power.

Multiple layers of separation from the votes of citizens of EU countries (by design).

Benefits? 😄

The UK was a massive net contributor. Propping up the basket cases like Greece/Hungary/Poland. Thank goodness we left.

The Commission does hold THE power but I would agree that it has too much power and that parliament should play a greater role in the EU.

The UK was a major contributor to the EU. It was also a major beneficiary. The saving of our net annual 'investment' of +/-£9bn has resulted, by conservative estimates, in an annual loss of +/-£80bn.

It appears that "propping up the basket cases" was a small price to pay.

Where's Wally..............

"On Sunday, Trump posted another map, this time depicting the US state of New Mexico as “New America”."

If he calls New Mexico New America what is he going to call New Hampshire, New York and New Jersey and the region known as New England? Will the US invade the country of Georgia if they refuse to change the country's name?

You failed to quote my “I’m at war” statement.

Not agreeing with leftists isn’t an act of war. Even though that’s exactly how they interpret any disagreement.

And what will America be called after Putin takes over?

Proclaiming via a map that several foreign countries are sovereign US territory is insane behavior on the part of a US president. Literally insane. Even if Trump is only trolling “leftists,” the US ambassador to Iceland -- a former US ally which Trump has no regard for or knowledge about -- was called in by that country’s foreign minister over this map, among other outcomes. Our whole country appears unserious and idiotic.

Your incessant posts show that your only perceptible aim in life is to bait “lefties” -- a group of people whom you yourself have classified, with no understanding whatsoever of what they believe in or aspire to. If you’re satisfied with this rather limited personal game plan, then good for you. But to everyone else here, you’re just a troll. Go away.

Another one. When challenged, a different opinion or disagreement the go to word is troll. Quite a few of you.

If you don’t like my post. Not a problem. No one is forcing you to read them. Scrolling is an option.

I have my opinions and you have yours. This isn’t a leftist’s only forum despite some trying desperately to make it one.

Opinions? What opinions? You have no opinions. Other than, Gosh, it’s fun to troll lefties! And it’s fun to cheer on Trump when he plays lefties like fiddles! But, of opinions on Iceland, and the value of US alliances, and what Trump’s memes and late-night tweets might indicate about his character -- i.e., issues with real bearing on national and global events -- well, you seem to be empty of such opinions, on substantive topics.

You’re right, responding to your comments is a complete waste of time; it’s five minutes I’ll never get back. But, at the same time, Trump is causing so much damage to the United States both domestically and internationally, I feel almost a responsibility as a US citizen to resist folks like you, or try to make you see some sense.

Good luck. I hope you wake up.

Well to be fair he did enter the fray making increasingly convoluted and improbable attempts to justify Trump's imbecillic claims. When those became obviously untenable he fell back on claims that nobody trolls "lefties" like Trump; now it has further subsided to claims of taking bets that it never happened!

It must be so difficult when the cold realisation hits that one's immaculate idol is making a fool not only out of himself but his most ardent supporters!

Perhaps we should show some sympathy?

I have to wonder of the sentiment towards President Polk when he was busy increasing the size of the US.

Oh Dear.

More like 15 minutes. Once again. Who forced you to read and reply?

Does Trump’s tweets offend you? All I can say is Be Offended.

Scrolling is an option if you don’t agree with me.

Enjoy your day!

Glad we finally agree on something. Before leaving we had about 73 out of 7xx MEPs. So about 10% of a Parliament (that is pretty toothless) despite being a huge net contributor.

80bn is not a conservative estimate, it's a massively inflated Remainer estimate.

In reality, Instead of growing at its historical average of roughly 1.5% per year, the post-2016 structural frictions (new custom checks, immigration shifts, and investment uncertainty) slowed average UK growth down closer to 1.2% per year. Even with the pandemic, China, various wars etc. that also slowed the growth of member states that remained.

For example, here is Germany's slowing growth since Brexit while staying in the EU.

I disagree. Whatever the figures, you can't put a price on sovereignty, agency, self determination. You can't draw such a conclusion in a decade. Lets see what the EU looks like in 2046 if it still exists. We'll be thanking our lucky stars we left that crumbling federalist project once China has destroyed what is left of their crumbling industries and mass immigration has destroyed the fabric of the member states.

Yes, Britain has it's own immigration problems but that is the fault of OUR government. We are now in a position to change that and judging by the sentiment of the public that will happen at the next General Election.
