If i read all the comments, there not a lot of people who know how it works to get a workpermit as a foreign teacher at the moment. Fitst of all the foreigner must be educated as a teacher in his/her country on an university that is on the list in Kurusapha. But a lot of teachers are graduated from high schools, but Kuruspha think that is not valid. So the foreigner must be a master. Secondly there is a lot of paperwork needed of the schools, and not all schools are able or willing to do that job. All together can take up to 3 months and than the visa is almost expiring and things maybe can be arranged, sometimes a new visa is needed. That is why there are people working without a workpermit. They don't wait till all the paperwork is finished and the schools don't wait either too. The biggest problem however is Kurusapha as they only know the Thai education system and think the university abroad is the same as a Ratchapat university. But it is also so strict as all foreig teachers know that the government is afraid that foreign teachers make students think, which will result in losing control.

Sure, however, on many occasions, the employee is promised work permit documentation, which never eventuates, and then, coincidentally, a day or two before salary is due, the business is raided. 😂
