Permanent residence entitles you to have your name listed in the blue tabien baan. However, is it mandatory to switch from the yellow one immediately, or can this be done months later?

I dont believe there is a specefic time frame for having it, but it still can be quite labor intensive if the lady at the Amphur is not really helping (not as bad as getting the police red book, but still a hurdle xD). Best to get it sorted asap when you have the time. Only time i used it so far, was for renew driving license and you will need it for replacing your PR book in few years.
