This place could still have its uses. I remember the big flood of 2011. I couldn't find anything anywhere else about my area, except TVF. Same for when the Red Shirts camped out on Aksa Road in May 2014, near my house, and when the coup came a few weeks later. There was nowhere else to go, really. Then, there was Covid. TV/AN was pretty useful in those days. Problem is, I think, that the coup and the Covid took out a lot of members. The numbers never came back after the coup.

Bu then you need the numbers and widespread distribution which this place for English language speakers was almost the only place .Now you have news wires, Facebook groups, Redditt and a host of others and AI can mine that and importantly foreign language sites into a coherent whole. Also there are very few young people on here if any and similarly women nor would they want to be there , but they make up a significant Thailand farang community just not here.

We did have a female Thai here, and I think on the younger side (relatively) but she was hounded out by all the bitter old Thai hating misogynists and eventually left.
