Back on topic, it's pretty clear that Trump is banning CNN and the others to try to silence critical voices as the midterms approach. He's really on the backfoot right now, since cratering in the polls. His base will believe the 'fake news' claims he makes, but everyone else can see this is an act of censoring out of pure last-ditch desparation.

All this talk about The People's President banning certain anti American news networks from the Whitehouse press briefings.

At least he didn't do what his predecessor Sniffer Joe did when he ordered the FBI to illegally raid the home of a Journalist in search of a certain diary that was highly embarrassing to Sniffer Joe.
