😊 Okay, I'll bite what is/was "TT" ??

TT stands for ThaigerTalk, the 'other' Thai forum. TT management did buy AseanNow, but decided at that time instead of merging both Fora in one, that the policies/philosophy and audience of both Fora was too different and that both had a place in the Thai cyber-world. In course of coming days TT will stop as a separate forum, but it will get a place on AN. And it is no coincidence that this conversation is taking place in the Off the Beaten Track subforum, as TT - and all its members - were Pro Free Speech and also treat their members as responsible adults.

Is was a conglomeration of Think Tankers.

We got together and decided that we would go to AN and not only raise the level of internal consciousness, but to engage in the very elements of human thought and wonder. In plain talking; external thinking.

Bit deep for now don't you think? I think we need to be a bit gentle, just for a while

Agreed Oaktree (have to get used to that). Already getting a bit quiet on the gourami front.

Friendly and gentle the best way forward.

You are right. Let's keep it simple for the non-TT posters.

Let me pose a question that has troubled many fat=rang in Thailand. What mqkes Thai ladies go weak at the knees.

a - Diamonds

b - Gold

c - Wads of cash

d - Chocolate.

The answer is d chocolate. So, a little tip. Always have a bar of chocolate in yer top pocket when yer go out looking for bits of fluff.

If any of the refugees want to change their current AN forum username to reflect their former TT name- let me know.

Thank you for that offer. for myself, I quite like my new User name and as all of TT knows that the former 'Pinetree' is now 'Oaktree', with a 'Dr' attached, to add a touch of gravitas, I will stay with it. New forum, new start, new user name.

Well we all know that. But when the chocolate melts, they substitute it with the other three and it melts pretty quick in 30 + degrees.

Flame post removed.

No, no, please don't go. I hate to see someone go back to the swamp when we are just about to kill all the alligators. Stay, and watch the fun.

Why can you not answer a simple question without posting pointless reponses?

What is this topic actually about?

You are perfectly correct Sir. And that's the standard of simple deduction that we at TT would expect from a class A member..

So, what is the solution? The AN posters would say forget the chocolate and take wads of cash. But us TTers think differently. We would put the chocolate in the freezer for a few hours before venturing out on the prowl.

That thinking is what sets us aside. It is so simple. Yet many find logic so very challenging. But we will not give up. The AN members are not our enemy. No! They just need enlightenment. And we must be here for them in their desperation to quell their inner mysteries.

This topic was started for the refugees from "Thaiger Talk" which will cease to exist shortly. The members from that forum now have a new home with us on Asean Now.

We have just today, lost the forum we all enjoyed. It's gone and some of us, by no means all, have transferred to AN, in the hope that our former Leader can resurrect TT in the form of a Sub Forum on here. What you are seeing, reading, is just a bit of light hearted banter to get the ball rolling, so to speak. Is that clear enough for you? Why not stay with it. We think there is lots of good, serious, stuff to come.

Then why did you beat about the bush and not state the above when first asked?

You are right of course, but even so, one must move quickly and purposefully to snare the said chocoholic before the other three are needed to seal the deal. What you then do with the now melted chocolate is a complicated subject, best left for another day.

Thanks for that.

It would have been helpful if that had been explained at the beginning!

Thaiger Talk now has a NEW home on Asean Now.

Previous Thaiger Talk members should PM me and have their AN membership adjusted to be able to see and access your new Thaiger Talk forum home on Asean Now.

Asean Now members cannot see or access that forum at this stage.

The forum is run and moderated by @BigHewer just as he did previously.

Back in England I would always have chocolate in me pocket.

If there was a pretty lady on a bench, by the duck pond, reading a book, i would sit down about 5/6 feet away, take the chocolate bar out, and put it on the bench between us. I'd notice that she would keep glancing at the choccy bar. I'd push it further towards her with me hat. Sooner or later she would make a grab for it.

While she was crunching the choccy, I would flatter her. I might say. Is that book a picture book or has it got proper words?. She would of course say it had words. I would reply that she was very clever for an Essex girl.

Soon we would walk off arm in arm.

Wow, total mastery.

Truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.
