September 3, 200718 yr I am 41 years old from the US, Just Married Thai 1 year ago, We are staying in Chaing Mai area, I currently have a tourists visa that expires in 3 months! I have enough monthly income to qualify and 400,000bt in the bank. My problem is I have no tax papers! Nor does my wife. We do have Court marriage paper, Her Trabien Ban, I D card,.... What can we do to get a 1 year Non Imm ??? Is it possible? Do We need a good Lawyer?? We don't want to talk about a Divorce yet!! And do I need a police report or background check?? All help is appreciated. Thank you.
September 3, 200718 yr With the marriage paper (I hope your mean District Office rather than a court), copy of wife ID card (or maybe the original wife) and proof of bank account take a short vacation to Penang and obtain a multi entry non immigrant O visa. That will allow you up to 15 months of 90 day stays and you can extend your stay once you meet the 40k monthly family income requirement (or age to 50 and can use the retirement option). September 4, 200718 yr Believe I found the question and no you will not need tax records to obtain a visa. At Penang they reportedly want to see at least 200k in a Thai account and in Singapore 400k in any account to issue a multi entry. There is no financial requirement for a single entry.
