Nearest Immigration To Kho Tao

Featured Replies

if the tourist visa is about to expire when at kho tao (spelling?)

where would the nearest immigration office be to make an extension of 30 days?

is there an office on the island?

warm thanks in advance

Deejah the closest immigration to Tao is Ranong. When I was there we used to gt the night ferry to Chumphon, then get the visa run mini bus to Ranong. Across to Myanmar and then back into Chumphon just in time to get a KFC and the afternoon cat back to Tao. You are back the next afternoon. If speed isnt a factor you can spend either a night in Ranong or Chumphon. Most of the travel agencys in Mae Head offer this service. Hope this helped. :o

The nearest immigration office to Koh Tao is the one just outside Nathon on Koh Samui.

If you take the morning ferry Lomprayah or Seatran Discovery(both includes free transfer),

then you will have time to make the extension and come back the same day.

Good luck!
