Diverticulitis - Help Please

Featured Replies

Can anyone tell me please where in Pattaya I can buy "Aloe Mucilaginous Polysaccharides" tablets? It's derived from the Aloe Vera plant, and I'm told it's very helpful to people suffering from Diverticulitis.

Have you tried Fascino on Pattaya Nua? they seem to have or are able to obtain most things

Chelsea, I can't direct you, with certainty, to a source for that medication. I can empathize with you, having suffered from diverticulitis myself a few years ago, before I moved from the USA.

Because of that empathy, I will suggest to you that the best pharmacy I've found in Pattaya is Fascino. If any pharmacy here has that medication, I'd think that they would. They are located on Pattaya Nua, just past Third Road, and just before the big screen advertising overpass, as you go toward Beach Road from Sukhumvit.

I hope you get the medication you're seeking from them, my friend. If not, please consider making an appointment with Dr Jimmy in BKK Pattaya Hospital. Despite the many negative comments about BPH made here, I can tell you that Dr Jimmy has provided me with excellent care, which included some minor surgery to remove bladder stones, and medication to reduce a seriously enlarged prostate. He definitely considers what is best for his patients, and does not rush to surgery.

Many thanks JohnC and George. I'll give it a try.

Chelsea, I have V. When I was only 39 my colon ruptured from it. It ruptured the same morning I had a lower GI scheduled so I was already at the hospital when the undescribable pain started. I was hours away from checking out of here when they wheeled me to surgery with a temp of 105. I had peritonitis (sp) throughout my body. I was given a temporary colostomy and in a coma for 5 days with IV anti-biotics. I had 16'" of my colon removed and have been on natural fibre laxative ever since. I have worked in the ME, Russia, PNG and other unpleasant places without incident. I still have the diverticuli and they act up when I eat peanuts (which I love) and a few other things. The best fibre is Metamucel but it is no longer available here. While not as good, I use Mucillin now, everyday, morning and night.

I urge you, DO NOT fool around with this. Go to the doctor recommended above and get and follow his advice.
