Getting A 1 Year Visa In Singapore, Penang Or Kl

Featured Replies

Hello All, Just have a few Questions. I have been married just over 1 year to a Thai and I was wondering if Singapore still gives out 1 year Non imm O marriage visas? Is Penang or KL a better place to go to do this? Do they still give 1 year non imm O visas? What are the exact documents I need to show to get this visa? I have heard and read so many different things I just want to hear from someone who has done this and what they needed as far as documents. How much money do I have to prove? Can I use my wife's bank accounts plus mine from my country? Any help will be greatly appreciated. And sorry if I have asked the same questions as many others. I'm just totally confused with all these new law changes. I have been here a long time (8 years) and have never had a problem getting my visa but this time I worry a bit. I have been living on 3 month non imm o visas for the last year and now want to get my 1 year multi entry. I don't want to apply in Bangkok for a long stay non imm O. Thanks!

Singapore at last report was 400k in bank account anywhere and normal marriage certificate/copy of wife ID card.

KL has varied from no issue to issue without financial proof - not a sure bet and normal proof required.

Penang has started to issue again and financial has been reported 200k to zero in Thai account with normal proof.

In all cases you should also have a letter from wife asking that visa be issued so you can visit here just in case it is asked for.
