The company is getting set to send a couple of us to Los Angeles on a business trip and offered us Business Class on either EVA or Malaysian Airlines.

Any experiences or opinions?

Thanks,

I used to be a fan of malaysian, but it hasn't kept up. Eva is fresh & vibrant.

If you can get a 777 plane pick that model. Both Eva & Malaysian's 747 are 10 yrs out of comfort.

Eva doesn't have AC power in its 747 seats, malaysian does, so that might matter if you want to use your laptop. Malaysian food quality is ok. Haven't eaten Eva, but based on the menus, I am bringing extra food.

I have just switched to Eva for my commutes in Nov. & Dec., so I can't offer a definitive opinion on the service in F or J. I did like the friendly Malaysian service though and the Pax were polite & quiet, unlike what you find on the american flag carriers today. I have been told to brace myself for pushy folks on Eva.

EVA Evergreen class..

Big problem is EVA is always fully booked, unless you book many months in advance..

When I have been able to fly EVA, found that even the cheap seats are large with lots of legroom...

[me 6'4 and never under 120kg for past 40yrs]
