JimsKnight
Don't stay in the uk for more than 90 days each financial year, move your bank accounts to offshore banks and sell all your uk assets. Job done!
Artamus
Don't stay in the uk for more than 90 days each financial year, move your bank accounts to offshore banks and sell all your uk assets.Job done! You also need to contact the Inland revenue and fill in some sort of form (can't remember exactly as I did it 20 yers ago) to say you are leaving the UK and will be non-resident for tax. You have to stay out at least one full tax year to be absolutely sure you will have no tax liability. As mentioned above you can't return more than 90 days in any one year, though you can stay up to 180 days in any ONE year providing the average does not exceed 90 days. Its a P85 form to tell the IR your leaving the country.
