Where To Go In Andaman Outside Satun?

Hi there,

I have tried to find info in the forum where to go for a holiday in Andaman Sea outside Satun.

My daughter with husband and 2 children, 2 and 3 years, are coming to visit me and my wife for a couple of weeks from Christmas. We have booked the flights already down to Hat Yai.

I have read about Koh Lipe here in the forum and we have also some info about Koh Bulon Leh. Koh Lipe might be a little bit too touristic and Koh Bulon we cannot get any booking confirmed there.

Because of the holidays and with small children we want to have a place to stay confirmed before going.

Someone that can recommend a good place for us?

:D:o:D

edit: We have been to Krabi, Kao Lak and Koh Lanta before. Looking for a smaller place this time.

One of my Thai friends took his family to that island group (Butang) not too long ago (I was having "motivation" problems so I didn't go) and they loved the trip. They raved about the clear water.

Scuba diving is supposed to be excellent out there with dive sites of 55 m and 50% of the oceans' fish species

You (or maybe someone who reads Thai .. if you dont .. I don't ..) should do some serious surfing of the Thai National Park Service websites. I think all those islands now have basic (very basic) accoms .. campgrounds. I believe you can book in advance. I have heard that Ko Rawi and Ko Adang have some awesome beaches .. and king cobras .. :D
