Good strong cheese (nothing with rot, thank you very much). A good book with never-ending pages. The dream of regaining perfect vision. A good Thai massage at the community massage center in old Sukhothai. Eating out alone with a good glass of red wine and The Economist. The smiles of Thai kids in the countryside out in the verdant green fields in the glow of sunset. The first sip of coffee at the beginning of the day. The first sip of wine at the end of the day.
