bingobongo
i guess there is more to life than som tham, shopping malls, alcohol and sunshine......well done junta, well done.......and the 4.7% that they mention as having no problems are probably the folks on top..... Thailand's happiness index falls sharply one year on According to Mr. Noppadol, the latest survey indicated that happiness among Thais declined in almost every sector when compared to September 2006. http://etna.mcot.net/query.php?nid=32191 Edited October 14, 2007 by bingobongo
Mid
that's a shame , wasn't this index touted as being the realistic measure as opposed to all those awful economic statistics ?
londonthai
on top of the worsening situation - maybe thai are more open in expressing their views instead of saving face and constantly smiling
cclub75
Even if I'm a convinced "crisist", honestly, I think it's difficult to give any relevance to those "surveys" and "polls"... However, I agree, those polls are endless source of good laugh. For instance this sentence : "He said the poll also showed that only 4.7 per cent of Thais were free of problems while the rest continued to live in varied states of unhappiness."
