Can anyone clarify this situation for me.

What would the requirements be for my girlfriend/soon to be wife to employ me in her business.

1, Can she be the sole propreitor or do we need share holders?

2, does she need 2 million baht regestered capital? for me

3, Is there a minimum wage required for farang?

4, Does she have to employ a certain number of kon thai first.

5, Would she have to apply for my work permit on my behalf.

I think thats all. Ive read lots of information on this matter, but still get confused as there seems to be many options. Good to ask guys that have been there and done it all already.

1) If your girlfriend is Thai, then yes she certainly can be the sole proprietor.

2) No, unless you are looking at a Limited Partnership.

3) Depends on your nationality viz a viz the work permit application.

4) 4 Thai people if you are not married, 2 if you are.

5) Yes, but she could give power of attorney for someone else to make the application.

Seems fairly straight forward, Yeah she is thai, and if it makes any difference im english and 32 years old. Guess i need to look into the details a little more
