October 17, 200718 yr I will be in BKK for one month, and planning to staying at a serviced apartment. I got quote from both Chin House and Pantip Court. Pantip Court: 97 sqm, on South Sathorn Road Chin House (II): 56 sqm, on Saladeng Road Pantip is about US$220 more than Chin House, but the room is bigger. But the Chin house seem to have a better location. I intend to stay in the apartment the way like I would stay at home, and am not going to be running around outside like a fresh tourist. But I would certainly enjoy a convenient location for food and small shopping trips. I have never stayed at these two apartments before. Does anybody has experience with these apartments? how about their condition? Does Chin House (II)'s room have a balcony? I would appreciate any comments.
October 17, 200718 yr Pantip Court is definitely more upmarket - better pool, so so gym. Rooms much bigger, better furnished. Big balcony. Chin House is "functionally" decorated, although well run, and it's location is better for walking to Silom, and to the BTS. I've stayed in both, Pantip was my preferred choice. However, there is another you should investigate: Somerset (Ascott Group) on Suan Phlu. It's recently be refurbished.
October 18, 200718 yr I highly recomend Somerset Park Suanplu, i have been staying there for the past 6 months and i'm very satisfied, i will be moving after another 6 months but this is only as my condominium (buying) will be completed by then.
October 19, 200718 yr My choice would be Centrepoint Silom. River view available. 90 to 100 sq. metres. There's some refurbishment going on. Here are a few pics: Click to enlarge.
