Do you think now that Naam is called Naam instead of Dr Naam he should change his avatar? Dr Naam somehow suits the Klingon image whereas just plain old Naam reminds me more of one of these:

The OP's topic heading is;

Why Are So Many Threads On Here So Damned Boring? Can we liven it up a bit?

Please forgive me for correcting the grammatical errors in the topic heading.

Here is why I think so many threads are boring;

The posters writing the boring crap, are actually VERY BORED!!!

The number of inane threads astound me! For example, there are many threads that relate to "internet speed/connection" problems. On most occasions, the OP starts the thread after having an internet problem for a couple of hours. How can they do this if they really have an internet problem? Are they that desperate to use the internet that they rush to somebody elses house or an internet cafe, solely for the purpose of getting onto Thaivisa, in the hope of seeking an answer to a problem? Also, their problems may be (probably are) related to their service provider, so how can anybody on Thaivisa possibly solve their problems (besides their service provider)? Of course, others may be experiencing similar problems but if only to share a similar experience, what can other Thaivisa users do to help? Answer: NOTHING!

If you can't figure out how to use a telephone or how to WAIT until you can get help with some Thai translation (on the telephone), switch the bloody computer off & WAIT!!!! Then again, you could always call me. I have ALL the answers & tools to use in order to fix your internet service provider problems...NOT!! Maybe you could contact Reimar...he may be able to "magically" fix your "Maxnet down for the last 2 hours" problem. I don't think so.

Why bother wasting bandwidth with these type of threads?

The whole thing is ridiculous. Would these people do the same thing in their "home" country? I think not. Do these people need instructions on "how to breath"? Maybe.

Here is a list of posts relating to "internet" problems for the last month;

How did I get this list? I simply used the search tool & used the word "internet" as the search criteria. I only searched in the "topic headings".

Does this give anybody a clue as to why so many threads are boring (& redundant)?

Now, about the beetroot comment;

Aussie style burger with pickled beetroot

Aussie beetroot is shit. Too sweet. :D Heinz Beetroot from the Uk is the best. :o Nice with cheese. :D:D

Jockstar, you are quite right about aussie beetroot being too sweet although some brands of Australian beetroot are not so sweet. Actually, when I was a kid, we used to grow our own beetroot & boil it in vinegar with bugger-all (not much) sugar. Bloody beautiful!!!

I REALLY miss my beetroot...especially on hamburgers. When I lived in Argentina, I managed to teach the local "hamburger guy" to put beetroot on the burgers. Strangely, it became a "hit" locally.

At least "beetroot" threads are not anywhere near as frequent as the "internet down" threads.

BTW, where is Weho? He always seem to "liven up" the place a bit with his "stuff".

Come on you guys this site is going downhill the threads are so dull.

Let's liven thing up!! :D:D:D:D

Hello John, (if that is your real name)

Have you just recently joined or reading the posts on TV for years already but never dare to join because you had no idea what to post? :bah:

Anyway there is one thread that jumps out miles from any topic ever posted on TV, the Mother of all threads......

Go there, the thread is called: They say you should never....

Magnificant storylines all interwoven with subtile hints on facts of life, insane conspiracy theory's and last but not least the search for the ultimate answer in the form of a question.

Sure at first you will be dazzled by all the post and the twists and turns the whole thread takes, but soon after you will get "It"

I invite you and other members to join "The Program" and enjoy and learn from "The Experience"

If you want lively, you should start petitioning the Government to speed up and enforce FBA (the drastic version)!

Lively!!! We had Koffi Annan on here pleading for calm last year.

You are right though and what we need is more knee jerk policies and retractions! Sadly these days, politicians seem to be learning to keep their mouths shut.
