Pattaya_Fox
1 Billion Baht Drugs Operation discovered by Police. English Man and his Thai Wife arrested. A press conference was held at Pattaya Police Station led by Police Colonel Sutin, the Superintendent of Pattaya Police Station to announce the arrest of an English man and his Thai Wife and the seizure of 5,600 Ecstasy Tablets and Chemicals used to manufacture such drugs. The arrest took place at house number 403/67at the Jomtien Palace Housing Estate based on search warrant number 543/2550 dated 31st October 2007. Following a three 3 month operation, Police collated sufficient evidence to conduct a raid on the 20 Million Baht luxury house. They believed that the location was being used to produce the tablets and drugs which were being sold from the location. During the search, which was monitored by the house owner, Mr. Marcus James aged 48 from Lewisham in England and his Thai Wife, Khun Naringrat aged 32, the tablets were found in various locations around the house. Chemicals including Sodium Hydroxide which are commonly used to produce narcotics were also found. Items thought to have been purchased or accumulated as a result of the income generated from the sale of the drugs including a Bronze Honda CRV, three gold bracelets, 11 Bank Books indicating balances totaling around 10 Million Baht, a Harley Davison Motorbike, a Yamaha scooter and 204,500 Baht in cash were also taken into evidence. Police believe the tablets may have been produced in a second location as the machine used to press the tablets could not be found. According to the suspects, the tablets would be sold to customers in Europe and foreigners and Thai’s residing in Pattaya and many were due to be sold on Halloween Night. The entire operation is thought to be worth over 1 Billion Baht and the investigation is continuing as Police are determined to bring everyone involved in this case to justice.
