Hi. Been out of the travel market for a while, so hoping for some up-to-date advice on flights from the UK to Bangkok in February. Want to avoid Heathrow & Gatwick if at all possible, but need good connections and good IFE because the party includes a 6 year old child and an infant. London City with Swiss & Thai was a firm favourite, but now seems expensive and hard to find. Humberside is closest to where we live, but the connections inbound are not good. Thanks very much for any ideas or tips.

Humberside ?

then your nearest port of call is Manchester. For good IFE from Ringway, then you're looking at either Emirates or Etihad. That is all...

EK now fly NCL-DXB as Endure has already mentioned and if flying from MAN, Qatar do also have a good IFE system.

From Humberside you could investigate flying to Amsterdam (with KLM) and direct AMS - BKK with China Airlines or EVA Air.

China Airlines may quote a through fare.

Although IMO 747 is the only way to fly China has a poor IFE system.
