Was given a free copy by apple, is it worth the upgrade at the moment or should i wait to see if its got problems?

lol no chance, im going to use it at some point! just a case of when :D

From all the feedback I've gotten, if you are running pro apps (Final Cut for example) hold off awhile. If you are a home user or are running mostly Apple programs you can go ahead without any worries.

ill be holding off then, im running most of the cs3 suite.

dumb question for you long time window's haters......

I just bought my apple laptop in middle of October and the lady told me that apple may allow people to upgrade for free for recent apple purchases. It didn't matter as I bought it in the USA to save the 300+ mark up over here in LOS. Question is, will I get it for free or (glup) of course have to buy Leopard?

First of all, Mac user does not equal Windows hater.

You need to redeem it within the US or Canada. By the looks of it there's nothing stopping you from having it sent to an address in one of the two countries and having it forwarded from you. Redemption info is here:
