Dear members

Who thinks it is cold in the morning?

This morning it was only 18 degrees Celsius. :o

I think compared to our homecountry it is not cold but staying here for 10 years now I think it is.

In our homecountry we loved to have around 20 degrees celsius during the day, summertime. :D

But here in Thailand it is cold. :D

Not cold - but definitely on the cool side. I just checked the Bangkok weather forecast on Wunderground.

Accourding to them, the Bangkok minimum today was (about the same as usual) at 24C. Partly Cloudy. High: 32° C. Wind NNE 10 km/h. That's the forecast for today.

A lot depends on where you record a temperature in any big city. There can be variations of up to 6C in different parts of town.

If you want COLD ... come here.

I'm riding a motorcycle at 4am in Pattaya with a light shirt and shorts. Definitely not cold, but there was a very refreshing coolness in the air...possibly more due to low humidity than low temperatures.

It was very invigorating. I wish it was like this all year round.

tropo, it's dangerous to post on the internet while riding a motorcycle!

Last night was my first night under a proper blanket instead of just a sheet. I closed all the windows and woke up to 20 degrees. Weather.com says it's still about 20 outside at 9 a.m. in Chiang Mai. Nice sleeping weather, but chilly on a bike. The cold November rain came a night early on October 31, but it didn't last forever.

Well I shoved this pic up this morning in my Buriram Topic :

Likewise!!!!!!! and feel a full sunday roast this afternoon maybe in order, followed by several Irish coffees. Just to warm the old bones you understand...purely medicinal :o

The other day a taxi driver told me that I should remember that twenty years ago the weather was always like this at this time of the year. On reflection, although I don't remember it, there must have been more comfortable temperatures when I decided to make Thailand my second home. Perhaps the cycle of weather is repeating itself, hope so, I should be pushing up daisies by the time it gets hot again!

It's lovely up here! :D

Best time of the year for the weather this is. Although come mid-dec its down to 13-14C at night . . . dunno about in the morning since the only thermometer I have is in the car!

The only problem is the wind here adds a chill factor . . . sitting out back the mekong it isn't shorts and t-shirt, it's jeans, socks, t-shirt with coat time! Maybe a wooly hat for my wife! :o

True. It depends on where you are.

But I know it is getting colder each day.

I go for 12 degrees in january. :o

I have for my shower a 4.5kW heater and it is already at max power to give me some warm water.

Think I have to change to a bigger one.

Any sugestions? Is 6kW enough to get me through the "winter" period?

Feels like every winter it is getting colder. Same as I am getting older? :D

My sister back in England wasn't very impressed when I told her the TV weather forecast the other day forecast a low of 21c and had a logo of someone wearing a wolly hat and scarf!
