How Do I Handle This.....

Featured Replies

I recieved a tourist visa in Washington DC in early September. I have not used the visa at the point. The visa reads "entry before December 11" My plan is to go to BKK Nov 30th thru December 21st (22 days). Does this mean that I have to get entry on arrival? Or could I actually use my tourist visa? Oh and I have not recieved any other visas in the last 2 years. Thanks

Your visa is good until the "Enter Before" date. That date has no bearing on the number of days you'll be granted upon entry to the Kingdom.

Ah, so if I got this right the December 11th date is a "use before date" correct?

Yes, just enter Thailand on or before Dec 10 and you will get a stamp allowing you to stay for normally 60 days.

Yes, enter on Dec 10 and you will probably get a stamp allowing you to remain till Feb 8 (or thereabouts)

Naka.
