That will work. Many in your position go to KL or Penang for a new TV. Other options are available depending on your reason for visiting Thailand. Non immigrant O visa for education, visit Thai friends, and other reasons is also possible and will get you 90 days at a time. Check with your nearest Thai Honorary Consulate.

I would have thought that a 2 entry Tourist Visa would be a good way to go. Each entry can be extended for 30 days. This would give 6 months.

Yeah, would be ideal if the consulate you are dealing with will issue one.

I got three 2 month visas from Canada
