November 12, 200718 yr my contract isnt being re-newed and they have paid me out till the end of the month... i assume i have 7 days from november 30th to surrender work permit .... correct ??? then have 7 days to leave the country (non b extension). or do i have 7 days from the 30th to return permit and leave...
November 12, 200718 yr It would be best to return the permit and be done with it. If you are leaving on bad terms, they could advise the labour department that you left earlier than the end of the month. This creates a problem in that you will be returning your work permit late and have to go down to the cop shop to pay a fine. I think it is 1,000 Baht. Get your slip to show immigration that the permit has been returned and they will stamp your passport for 7 days.
November 12, 200718 yr Author not leaving on bad terms, spoke to the GM today ( they are buying ticket out at a time of my choosing) he has advised me that i will need to leave thailand by the 14th december (7th dec hand in permit then get 7 day extension). issued solved.
