lol google came good for me, i do infact need one.

one other question.

is the below quote valid from a thai traveller.

if so where would i get the injection in pattaya.

Yellow fever vaccination certificate is required of all travellers arriving within 6 days from any part of a country in which yellow fever is endemic.

But is yellow fever endemic in Thailand? Surely not. In which case you don't need the injection. (It isn't endemic in Pakistan either.)

Pakistan visa is a fairly easy process (24-hour turnaround) although once you are in their peaceful compound in Soi Nana Tai, you are dealing through a bank teller style window where they are all airconditioned on the inside while you are sweating outside. Can get pretty hot as you end up filling in the application form while squatting in the sun.

However, they were very accommodating during my application when they realised that they would be closed for the next 5 days (some Pakistan knob on an official visit) so they made a note of my phone number and called me the next day and was met at an agreed location and my visa'd passport handed back to me.

Don't worry about the yellow fever shot. It aint endemic in Thailand but you really should consider one of those WHO sanctioned yellow-colored inoculation cards with the other relevant travelers shots recorded IMHO. I think only state hospitals in Thailand issue them but that's not gospel.
