Jai Dee Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 Cabinet approves decree draft on tax waive for education supporters The Cabinet has endorsed a decree draft on tax waive for education supporters. Police General Prachasan Chanasongkhram (ประชาสรรค์ ชนะสงคราม), the Assistant to the Spokesman of the Prime Minister's Office, says the Cabinet has agreed to not collect taxes from those education supporters in accordance with the initial proposal from the Finance Ministry. He says the draft will be brought up to the National Legislative Assembly (NLA) for further consideration. The content of the draft states that the education supporters will receive benefits from waiving of revenue tax, value added tax, particular business tax and duty stamp. The education supporters include those who offer scholarships, fellowships and grants for research, development research and inventions or recruitment funds under the criteria and conditions of revenue department’s announcement. Ijustwannateach Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 Wow! Just become an "education supporter" and you escape from all tax? Very convenient loophole! Think they'll have this policy for all the "athletic supporters" before long, too?
