Best Of Jomtien

Hi all,

will be down from Bangkok with the wife for a quick weekend getaway. Will be staying in Jomtien this time at White House (yeah, know it doesn't look that good but it's next to free, perks/perils of having a travel agent wife!). Have never been to Jomtien, but heard beach is nicer and pace is slower.

Where to head if we don't want to walk around like a tourist, we would rather depend on someone's good advice than luck for some nice bars, eats, Krathong celebration/floating and beach spots... or is that all self explanatory once we get there.

Please advise, some nice but reasonable places for dinner, maybe with a good view, good atmosphere, tastiest food would be helpful. Would rather normal pricing as opposed to Western pricing. Been anywhere really special lately?? Anywhere worth reccomending?? Also any nice bars, more for couples than go-go type places fellas(!).

Or does it make more sense to relax during day in Jomtien and get over to Pattaya for evening fun and games???

Any decent Jomtien venues still doing Thanksgiving over the weekend that you know about??

How about Loy Krathong down in Jomtien, where will you be going?

Many thanks and have a great weekend everybody...Cheers!

Seymour...
