joakb
I plan to go to Thailand next summer for a year, in order to explore the country and get some insight on how it feels to live there... probbaly do also some sightseeing in the surrounding countries as well. First months I will take intensive Thai language courses (that I am already learning). I'd like to know what's the best option in my situation: - Request an ED visa in Belgium or in Thailand? - Apply for a multiple entry visa in Belgium (but having contacted the Thai embassy, it seems they only grant this visa to people working, since they request the paperwork that would be required for getting a work permit??). I am really not sure what to do, would appreciate to get some help, thanks in advance!
lopburi3
If you can obtain paperwork for ED visa get that and then, if doing study, you should be able to extend your stay on that basis. If you do not have paperwork for study you will probably have to arrive on a tourist visa and change later or continue using tourist visas. Try for a 2 or 3 entry tourist visa to start.
