I just left the Thai Consulate in Singapore. I happened to be here on another matter and decided to get my Non Immigrant Type 'O' Visa here. I am married to a Thai national. I was asked for a copy of the marriage certificate as well as my bank book updated within a few days showing a balance of at least 400,000 baht. Since my balance was NOT at that level I was granted a 90 day only. Everyone was courteous and it was fairly straightforward, but they ARE sticklers for the rules here.
