Good poll, though this one and also the one posted earlier lack one vital option:

"Don't vote" / "It doesn't matter".

Because the junta has insured that it truly doesn't matter, and that changing their constitution in near impossible.

Not voting is hardly vital, but it is a real option. I actually wanted to add another category but you only get three. I can't vote myself, but my wife and a couple other eligible voters actually listen to my opinion, so it is like I can vote. This is the closest I have ever come to thinking that not voting is the right thing to do. But really the best way to get back at the coup makers would be to vote PPP. But that would be a revenge vote.

This is a very biased poll. You have to vote on the third option. Kind of like asking someone, When did you stop beating your wife? and forcing them to state a time period.

A more basic objective poll here:

Yes Jingthing I can see your upset someone posted a similar poll to yours. I wish their was a thumb sucking crying emoticon. I am sorry to intrude. You might notice I asked more questions than you did, and the third question will be the most intriguing.

BTW no one is forcing you to vote at all.

Lets see what TV'rs are thinking

I did not vote because your poll is flawed, in the third voting section you have no option saying 'neither' so therefore it is a loaded question, it presupposes something that has not been proven or accepted by all the people involved.

I agree with you 100 percent, you mahvelous diva!

A very BIASED poll. Polls are supposed to be OBJECTIVE.

I *COMPLETELY* agree.

On the one hand I'm inclined to go for the revenge.. But then the PPP has people like Chalerm in it. Basically everyone I ever despised in Thai politics is there, with the exception of Banharn who's in bed with the "Democrat" party now.. Of course PPP had no other choice, with the actual, current and modern TRT leadership not allowed to run by a biased junta controlled show trial. Otherwise there WOULD be reasonable options, like suppose if Somkid was the main person for PPP.

"Democrat" is out no matter what; not gonna happen. I've commented on that enough, and the treason they committed to democracy.

So then 'not voting' is the remaining option. Nothing good will come from that either though, and if you don't vote this is registered somewhere. So it's the only option that's not anonymous, though you could go in and just not cross any marks, of course.

Maybe the mods can add a "not sure" option to question three.

Not sure would still presume that the government would be used by the Army as a puppet, therfore your poll would still be loaded.

You need to add a 'neither' option.

I disagree, the military does have a preference, someone they believe would suit them best. My question asks which do you think that would be. If you truly think they have no preference, then I need a pair of them rosey glasses you've got on.

But, I do accept that there are certain analities required by pollsters. So I would be happy to see the mods add both a not sure and a neither option to question three.

How about it mods? is it possible?

You might even call it a Troll Pole.

That's rich, coming from Mr. Master Troll himself..

I think it's very sensible.

There's just a lot of delusional farangs walking around thinking this is actually a democracy. And then the remainder are just worried about closing hours for bars & visa rules.

When did you stop beating your wife?

I wouldn't be one of the delusional who thinks this is a democracy, but guilty to caring about visa rules. What's wrong with worrying about visa rules?

BTW, I don't think polls can be safely edited without losing data. So lets keep it this way. It's an entirely reasonable question after all.

No, all the question does is serve the questioner's agenda as there is no option to disagree with his already supposed conclusion.

And people say the Thai people don't understand this concept.

So my agenda is what? Implying the military has a vested interest in the election? Shame on me.

No shame, but that should have been in the comment section, not in the structure of the poll. Next time I am sure you can do better.

Google 'loaded question' and all will become clear and next time you may be able to form an acceptable pole in which to participate.

So.. you're denying that the elite/junta will keep their dirty fingers in control of politics for a long time to come?

You see them as impartial observers who's only wish is to have free elections, no matter what the people vote for??

i am not disputing this assumption but would like to add that some Farangs do exist who care a sh*t about democracy, closing hours for bars, are not worried at all because visa rules keep on changing or rumours are spread. the Farangs i am talking about are busy enjoying their life, their families, their retirement and all the goodies Thailand provides for them.

my wife strongly objects that others participate as far it concerns my "pole". :o

I never said that, what i said is that the OP is assuming that everyone who votes thinks that the next government will be a puppet for the army, thus making it a flawed poll.

Come on it's not difficult to understand, though i'm sure you understand already.

It is very interesting to see the totally different poll results in this LOADED BIASED poll versus the simple objective unbiased poll I set up. Which results would you consider more likely to be closer to accurate? What is the point of any poll except to get the most accurate result?

Objective poll, real results:

This thread biased poll:

GARBAGE IN, GARBAGE OUT.

If you find loaded questions unacceptable, yet you participate in public forums. Your petticoat must get quite sullied by days end.

I have no problem with loaded questions on a disscusion forum as you have the option to respond with a full statement, in a poll such as this one you do not have such a luxury.

We have two polls currently running; one simplistic, one more revealing, but they have one question in common. Strangely we are getting two different results for the preferred party.

One assumption could be that many people have not thought much about the question of the puppet party. Those people are voting Democratic on Jingthing's poll, but are not voting at all on the more complex poll. Those willing to comment about the third question are clearly saying that the likely Junta-preferred party will be the Democrats. With this in mind they are voting PPP to interfere with the Junta.

You forgot the one option

1) what does it matter, its still all the same old faces just with new party names so nothing much will change anyway.
