Dunno for the most part it was quite pleasant temperature wise. Now humidity few days last week was rather unbearable. Soaked within minutes. :o

thanks, Brit! Your disappreciation of the current climate conditions is highly appreciated!

quoted........"Funny, this brings up the issue of whether humans are more uncomfortably affected by extreme heat (as like Thailand - all the time) or extreme cold (like many a farangland in winter). I guess people adapt better to the heat than the cold as there are many more people residing in the world's tropical zones than in areas of equivalent cold (Arctic circle and Antarctica (never settled by humans)."

................................................................................

.

So I think I'm an odd one. :D

Had lived in TL for most of my life, but now living in the US.

Have to say, once I had tasted of living many years in the winterland ( in NY and Detroit) , nothing I could go back to live in LOS, my body adjust very well to the cold much better than the tropical heat. Having so much energy and full of life during the winter months. :D:D:D

That's the main reason that I have not moved back to live in the land of my birth :o .

Heard about it's quite cold in Pai.

I once spent a week at Tha Ton Riverview Resort, Chieng Rai, celebrated x-mas and new year with the owner (my roommate from TU). The whether was cool and nice, but it lasted only few days. Couldn't imagine have to put up with the heat for the rest of the year.

This brings me to say I admire those who enjoy the whether in LOS.

Some of you are whining so bitterly we should call you vinegar.

The human creature an adapt to a large range of climates, it is the range of temperature that we notice. So if there is a change of temperature greater than the range we are used to we notice the change.

That said I was looking forward to a reduced power bill this month, I'm not sure it will be that reduced as we run the aircon most afternoons to keep the chocolate from melting. May be it will be a late cool season and we will get some relief in the new year.

It is indeed quite hot and humid for the season. Last years Christmas was rather chilly, but right now, it feels more like March!

Well 2 or 3 weeks ago, it was quite cool, amazing how fast the climate has changed now in December.

only brits whine about the weather in such a shallow way as the op, i hope you air con breaks down! :D

Please don't call me a Brit...I might take this personal.... :o

Today is quite pleasant and would be very enjoyable if it was not for the f@#$%ng smoke. I cannot sit on the veranda and enjoy a beer without a smoke. If I want smoke with my beer I go to a bar.

What scares me is that the neighbours have been pruning trees and there are big piles of drying branches around the place. :D So the smoke will not go away any time soon. :o

Last night the minimum temp in my garden was 22 degrees, and now, 11 a.m. it is only 29 degrees.

If things keep going like this you won't have anything to whine about, Raro. :o

Actually I will be surprised if we don't get another cool spell sometime soon. Last year, out in Mabprachan, it cooled down in late December, when we had a really cold spell lasting 2 weeks (it was even too cold to swim) but it didn't really heat up until late March.

Be impatient, and keep up the whining :D

nothing to whine about? Are you kidding? First off, I can post again in the too cold thread! Thanks for your suggestions that I marked in your post.

Then of course I could finally take a look in the Pattaya news section and join the pros!

As said before it is never too early, on the corn flakes is acceptable for some. I prefer it with the corn flakes.

It was too smokey to have a beer. The serial fire starters managed tag team fires till after lunch. So retired inside and drank water.

It is looking good now though. :o

I like to whine. The OP wanted to whine so i figured I could do this along with the best of them..........i.e YOUI like people to disagree with me. It makes my heart warm. If EVERYONE agreed with me..........I would have a problem with the old " Big Head " syndrome.

I am curious about your avatar. :o

Your replies are nothing more than bait.

I haven't whined about current or past temperatures and merely made a comment indicating that global warming MAY not be as factual as many people believe and have nothing at all to do with current climatic conditions in Pattaya.

This is called debating, not whining.

.

I like to call it whining.

Your debating is my whining. If my whining results in the debating whine from yourself...........is my whine now a debate? Debating seems similar to whining under certain debating circumstances..........such as debating about whining.

Even the OP would like less debating and more whining.

If you don,t like my whining as much as I am opposed to your debating then perhaps we could debate about the use of the word............complain. I like to whine about complaining but do not wish to get into a debate with you Tropo on the benefits of whining compared to complaning.

Perhaps you could start a new thread? " Serious debaters only " But that may attract a lot of whining from people anyway so we are back at square one really.

I'm glad we agree, you definitely are a whiner.

Maybe in this alledgedly hotter than usual weather, the best thing we can do is sip a nice glass of chilled wine...and whine....and wine... and whine...and wine....

mind you when the cavemen were around it must have been all the fires that they lit changed the climate then.

:D:D

That and Mammoth flatulence :D

And to keep on topic.

It's freezing in the UK at the moment.

And to keep the Global warming brigade happy. But it's not as cold as it was last year :o

Now if anything is going to make me whine its the load of junk spam mail from known users that enters my box everyday asking me along to another tree hugging, wave counting, whale watching, ozone depletion, free water fuel, mushroom planting or cow crap recycling exercise.

Most of my Spam is for Penis enlargement pills these days. I keep replying saying that I don't need them, but I don't think they believe me!

Right now in the UK (9.30 am) it is minus 5 degrees in many parts.

On my pool terrace it is plus 31 Degrees.

So wherever you are in the world, the temperature is totally unacceptable.

It's a bloody disgrace! :D

I demand a communal whine!! :o
