Earliest Time To Renew Retirement Extension

Featured Replies

My retirement visa expires on February 13, 2008. I have enough cash in a thai bank for over 30 days. So no problems on needing a letter from the embassy this time. I'm thinking on using most of the cash, after the retirement extension is approved & stamped. So what is the earliest date I can do the paperwork at the immigration office?

They like you to do it 3 to 4 weeks before you current extension expires.

Thanks, so around 15 January I can renew the extension with no problem.

Yes but some immigration offices want the 800,000 Baht to have been in the bank for 3 months before you apply. While others dont seem to care.

Dont forget to get a letter from you bank confirming your bank balance together with a copy of your bank book up dated to show the same balance as the bank letter.
