Maxnet Premier In Pattaya

Featured Replies

This service is getting worse. Now it frequently downloads websites at 15-50 kb/s. That is a hel_l of along way from 1,000 kb/s that I am paying for. Maybe they should rebrand it as "SnailNet". It is like my old 56k dial up sometimes.

Has anyone used the CAT service on a TT&T line, in Pattaya and if so, what is the performance like?

I previously had 2mb Indy. IT SUCKED!!!!!!!!!! TT&t advised that changing to 1024 Premier would give much improved results. It does not do torrents as fast as 2mg Indy. Weird because Indy was advertised as "not for torrent use". Indy apparently can gather the pieces of of torrents rather easily, but can't get Int'l web pages fast enough to get out of it's own way. It often looked like IE was frozen.

Sure the speed test tests were good. Especially the one at TT&T. Numbers are nice but they are apparently not real surfing performance. The problem was that it could not access international web pages as fast as 56k modems. What good is a speed test when you can't do anything on the web. TT&T has it throttled like a BKK toll road at rush hour. It only did torrents ok. Some in country site were fast. Indy is just a TT&T marketing trick to get you to think it has value. My 1024 Premier is superior to Indy for int'l web surfing, but is not all that good. Int'l still does not come up fast most of the time.
