Changing Address

Featured Replies

Hi

I moved to a new condo 2 days ago and i need to know if i should tell immigration on Monday or if i wait until 23 September (this is my next address notification date.) I'm on a non immigrant O visa.

If someone could please tell what i should do in this situation will be appreciated.

Thanks!

Within 24 hours you shalt notify the Immigration Bureau. Look at your TM card stapled in your passport.

Make sure your new landlord tells them as well.

Sorry, don't know, but I would think you'll be OK. And don't forget to notify them if you visit and stay somewhere else in Thailand for more than 24 hours:

See section 37, para. 4:

That is the letter of the law, but if you stay in hotel, they will take care of it.

If you stay with a friend for a night or two, I would not worry too much

Your permanent address does need to be dealt with asap.

There may be a small fine for being late, or you can tell them you have "just arrived". :o
