fatter than harry
When you register a new company you have to put three choices of names on the application form, starting with your favourite. Is there any way to find out if your desired company name has already been taken, before you start up the company? apart from searching the internet for existing business'? Any advice appreciated. fatter than harry
cheers split! I was thinking that a massage parlour is just what Phuket needs, or maybe a hair salon of some description. Truth be told I'm investigating starting up an internet based Thailand discussion website, I thought 'Thai Visor' sounded catchy! Indo-Siam
The way company name reservation works is that the request for name reservation is submitted on-line, in Thai language, via the department of commercial registration website. You are allowed to enter three names, in priority order. If any of the selected names (and spellings) EXACTLY duplicate an existing company, your are informed right away that thsi name is not eligible. Otherwise, within one or two work days, a human at Department of Commercial registration will review the name against alternate spellings (with the same pronunciation), and against closely similar names - and will then notify you back via e-mail meesage concerning thr one highest-priority name you listed that is acceptable - and they automatically reserve this name for you for 30 days. You do NOT have to proceed with this name - but no one else can use it for 30 days. Good luck!
