The Vigos are built for speed... Its a "secret" among the Toyota people when you buy a new one the dealer will tell you to drive like the grim reaper is chasing you.

We will also get a bonus if we crash into something...

I think the Vigo people are driving faster because the car is so comfortable and powerfull. Yes I did have a Triton 3.2GLS Limited last year and it was good, very good, so good I miss it today. But now I am driving my Vigo, it's the small 2.5 G 2WD and it will stop at 160 kph but that is fast enough.

When I go from one town to another or on the highway I do drive as fast as I can, in town I just turn on the emergency lights and dont touch the brakes...

It's a fact that the Vigo is outselling the other brands, hence you can see so many more on the road. Dont be sad, buy a Vigo.

My 2wd 3.0 will sit at 180kph on the skyway but its about the only road in Thailand that driving that fast is safe............. try doing that on Motorway #7 and not getting 'air' ........................

Take a little time out and measure a pick-up and then check the wieght.

A little extra lenght for the tray is all you'll find.

Width and weight are very little different to a Camry etc

and center of gravity is much higher with greater suspension roll and poor weight distribution. wouldn't want to make a correction in anger at 140. those drum brakes on the rear aren't so hot either. no thanks.

my opinion seems to be shared by many others and you couldn't pay me enough to drive a vigo because i don't need to show off as i have a decent size.

Maybe that's why vigos are higher than other trucks...so you can't view the drivers from the waist down.

I tend to agree with your post Maigo ,

I think there may be a little exageration in hieght issues too, as my 2x4 sits about 8-9" off the tarmac standard suspension and feels very safe driving at 140

The Prerunners and 4x4s sit higher .

If some as#$ole wants to hog the right lane and barely keep up with traffic in other lanes , I will get right on there tail and sit there . I don't believe in flashing lights , I love it when they touch there breaks to give you a scare , as that just makes me edge a little closer . Usually doesn't take them long to find somewhere to pull over to the correct lane .

I never sit long in that lane and always let the faster traffic through , even if I have to slow down a little and sit behind someone until they pass . I expect other road users to do the same . Not too much to ask , is it ? BTW mines a manual . and not because I couldn't afford the auto .

personally i think its most other drivers who are inconciderate. think about how many taxi's, van's, and normal passenger cars just trot along at like 10km/h holding up everyone. what do i do??? i speed up, find anyway to over take and drive....watching the hundereds of cars in backed up traffic, (who by the way are thinking what fuc_ked up traffic light is up their, or what crash was their) all dont realize its cuz of inconciderate ass, who wants to go at his own pace, for he is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo sabi, that he doesnt even care if even notice that he is creating all this shit.

and for what? people have lives, errends, places to go, things to do, even an ambulance....i hate to think how many people have died because the ambulance didnt arrive in time.... and to think how many have died under these drivers......

Well , I don't know if you have been in the situation where you are doing the speed limit and someone has decided to sit in the right lane . The cars come up behind you and try and get between you , I don't give them that pleasure , so I sit on their tail .

Simarly If you are driving behind a few vehicles for a while , and no-one decides to overtake the vehicle in front , or they drop back to give enough space for trucks to merge into the same lane .

My reflexes are fast enough , perhaps yours are not , and BTW I'm pretty much grown up already
