January 11, 200818 yr HI Any know where to buy a bicycle, have tried Big C and Tesco, cheap crap there, don’t need a fancy one, and only with 3-7 gears, or any have one for sale?, it’s for my girlfriend, she don’t want a mountain bike Thx.
January 11, 200818 yr well we have had one of the "cheap crap" ones for almost two years and it still goes fine if thats not your cup of tea then there is a proper bike shop in Karon or the two sports shops in Junceylon both stock bikes if you dont need a fancy one though whats wrong with the "cheap crap" if they work & last?
January 11, 200818 yr Author HI The one i was looking at cost around 1300-2500, neither of them had gears, and they looked really bad, the ones from 3000 up was mountain bikes, and i still think 1300 for a bike is cheap crap, even some had decals saying fitted with shimano, who need that all over your bike. Will buy a cheap crap bike if i think its looks OK
January 11, 200818 yr LA Bicycles make decent bicycle at good prices. They are made in Thailand and available in most places. Check their website for Phuket dealers. They make many different models and styles.
September 15, 200817 yr Thalang Bikeshop I'm trying to find this shop. Can someone give me directions or a location on google maps?
September 16, 200817 yr Thalang Bikeshop I'm trying to find this shop. Can someone give me directions or a location on google maps? See attached jpeg and google earth place mark. Verbally: The Talang bike shop is located on the outbound lane (North traveling) in Talang. After passing the lights, on the opposite side of the road look for a long pink wall that fronts Govn't buildings. Approximately where this wall stops (on your side of the road) is the bike shop. following the bike shop is a small dirt soi (driveway) and a mini-mart in pink color. The Talang bike shop is a very good bike shop with everything from kids, to amature, to pro athelites. The Propriter of the shop is K. Pai-toon and he speeks english well. RE LA Bikes: they're decent enough, I got one for my maid to ride to the market, but we lived close to the ocean(800m) and in not even 6 months the spokes had rusted through and busted (cheep/get what you pay for). She road the bike like this for a while until I noticed and told her not to ride it because it was dangerous. I took it to the Talang had all the spokes swapped out and have not had a problme since.
