mucker
Can anyone recomend a (trustworthy?) real estate/estate agent in the Chantaburi area? After looking on the net most of them deal with Bangkok, Pattaya and the main tourist islands. I'm not looking for a big place, just a little summer thing. I'm also interested in buying a previously owned property, not just new build. Krap
retiredusn
you may want to come to Chanthaburi, and take a look first. Land is available but what is it you want? 20min. in all directions is vastly different. 20min to the ocean, 20min. to mountains. ect ect
mucker
Thanks retiredusn That's certainly a good point. I will be back around the start of February and intend to have a drive about. Was hoping that someone might have the skinny on a reputable agent in the area, so as to add that to my options. I can wait though, err in haste, repent at leisure. Thanks
astral
IME agents are few and far between outside Bangkok, Pattaya and maybe Chiang Mai. Much best to drive round and see what is on offer, with a Thai friend who can telephone and ask questions on your behalf.
mucker
Thanks for the reply astral. You and retiredusn are both saying similar things and I'm beginning to see it would be worthwhile taking a few weeks to drive around and see what's available in the area while spending afternoons on the beach. I'm not moving soon so I have time to think about things. Thanks for the advice.
