Retirement Visa Renewal

Featured Replies

I am a 59-year-old American living in Phuket. I have a retirement visa which I acquired in the USA prior to coming to Thailand. The date of issue for the retirement visa was 6 July 2007 and will expire 5 July 2008.

Could you please ask without the format information and advise if you have an OA multi entry visa or not and the present date you are allowed to stay in Thailand until. Thanks.

Apply at immigration office in Thailand 3-4 weeks before it expires.

800,000 Baht in the bank or 65,000 Baht a month income.

Get a letter from your Embassy as proof of the income.

If using the money in the bank method, it probably has to be in a Thai bank 3 months before you apply.
